On the auspicious day of Ashadhi Ekadashi, a festival dedicated to God Shri Vitthal, and Bakri Eid (Eid-ul-Adha), the festival of Sacrifice, the students and teachers of YTPS came together in traditional attire as devotees of both celebrations. This unique amalgamation showcased the spirit of unity in diversity.

During the event, Mrs. Jyoti Borse, a secondary teacher, enlightened everyone about the significance of Ashadhi Ekadashi, emphasizing the devotion and reverence associated with the festival. Similarly, Miss Anam Sheikh, another secondary teacher, explained the importance of Bakri Eid, highlighting the essence of sacrifice and its religious significance.

Led by the teaching and non-teaching staff, along with the students from Nursery to Grade X, a grand procession was organized, resonating with the rhythmic chanting of “Vithal, Vithal,” symbolizing the devotion towards God Shri Vitthal. The esteemed CEO, Director, and Principal, along with the entire school community, participated in this procession, creating an atmosphere filled with spiritual fervor.

The worship of Lord Vithala took place with great reverence, as the students and teachers gathered to offer their prayers and seek blessings. The choir group comprising both girls and boys presented devotional songs in a melodious manner, adding a soulful touch to the celebration.

This unique celebration of Ashadhi Ekadashi and Bakri Eid at YTPS showcased the school’s commitment to promoting inclusivity and fostering a deep sense of understanding and respect for different cultures and religions. The unity displayed by the students and teachers during this event symbolized the harmonious coexistence of diverse traditions, reinforcing the values of tolerance, acceptance, and togetherness.
